When a bar is the right choice

A bar suits a party built around drinks, music and dancing rather than a seated dinner. It is easy to reach straight from work, and there is no set-up day to plan. Many of the bars here also have a terrace or garden for the early part of the evening.

Take the whole venue

For a party that is yours alone, Lost In Brixton (600) has two bars. Barrio Covent Garden also takes 600. Salsa Soho (375) is a South American-themed nightclub and bar. Bondi Green (250) sits on the Paddington canal. In Canary Wharf, Pergola On The Wharf (700) has two bars and an outdoor terrace.

Semi-private areas

A smaller team does not need the whole bar. A semi-private area gives you your own space while the rest of the venue stays open. The Listing offers half the venue for up to 110. Both Arches at Lost In Brixton (200) have a dedicated bar. The Party Pad at Near & Far (75) gives you a rooftop terrace and mezzanine. Finish times

Ask for the finish time of each part of the venue. Terraces and gardens usually close before the bar inside. Agree last orders and the time guests must leave when you book, and plan how people get home.
