What works for 50 to 100 guests
At this size you can usually take a terrace, roof garden or pub garden to yourselves. Many of these spaces are one part of a bigger bar, hotel or restaurant, hired privately while the rest stays open. Backyard at The Light Bar in Shoreditch is a heated, covered terrace for up to 100. The Princes Dome at The Ned has its own bar and an outdoor terrace for up to 50. The Pavilion at Doggett's Coat and Badge has a retractable roof and takes up to 90.
Roof terraces
The Terrace at Doggett's Coat and Badge (120) looks across to St Paul's, the City and The Shard. Laurel's On The Roof (100) has a bar and a pool, and the Garden Rooftop at the Assembly Hotel (100) near Leicester Square looks out over the skyline. Gardens away from the centre
The Vineyard (220) has a large garden opposite Islington Town Hall. South of the river, The Lighthouse Battersea takes up to 100, and The Exhibit Secret Garden in Balham (100) has a covered perspex roof. Shared parties and semi-private areas
A team of this size does not always need a whole space. Some venues hire out one area while the bar stays open, such as the semi-private space at The Listing (110).
