What works for 400 to 500 guests
At 400 to 500 the list narrows to places with space to spread out. Whole venues, gardens and marquees make up much of it. The Pavilion at Kensington Palace (800) is a purpose-built venue, with a terrace over the gardens and the palace's east front. Westminster Abbey (1,000) has a garden that has been cultivated since the eleventh century.
Gardens and lawns
In South West London, the Garden Area at the Duke of Edinburgh (500) has heated and sheltered sections and a BBQ kitchen. The Prince (750) is a woodland garden with semi-private areas. Imperial College London (500) has a private terrace and a high-walled garden at Princes Gate. Rooftops, river views and games
Bar Elba (600) is a tropical-themed rooftop by Waterloo. Level 13 at Sea Containers (600) includes a roof terrace above the South Bank. For games, Flight Club Victoria (650) has darts areas reached by a helter-skelter staircase.
Staff, security and arrivals
