Sea Containers Summer Party Venue

Seductive and striking, Mondrian London at Sea Containers brings a bold new energy to London, blending the style and sophistication of the boutique brand with Southbank’s eclectic vibe. Situated on the banks of the River Thames in the famed Sea Containers building, Mondrian London uniquely offers river view balcony suites directly on the Thames. Working with Design Research Studio under the creative direction of renowned British designer Tom Dixon, the hotel captures the essence of the original building, exuding 1920s cruise ship glamour integrated with the modern twists and sophisticated design for which the Mondrian brand is known.
Guests will immediately be drawn to the giant, copper clad wall inspired by the hull of a ship, running from outside the building, through to the lobby and on to the river side of the hotel. Experience underwater tranquillity and specialised treatments at agua Bathhouse Spa, sample delicious food using locally sourced ingredients at Sea Containers restaurant, where outdoor seating along the river walk is also available, and sample innovative cocktails from Mr Lyan at Dandelyan with its iconic green marble bar and dramatic views of the Thames.
The most glamorous of spaces is our rooftop bar, Rumpus Room, with its glass box structure and outdoor terrace, featuring panoramic views over London. Uniquely reflecting the urban feel of the Southbank neighbourhood, Mondrian London is within walking distance of landmarks such as Tate Modern, Royal Festival Hall, the National and Globe theatres, as well as Borough Market and the London Eye.
Rumpus Room
Boasting some of the finest views of London, Rumpus Room is a magical glittering glass box perched atop Mondrian. Specialising in bubbly, with an extensive list of the world’s best champagnes as well as classic and specialty cocktails, the space is ideal for receptions and parties for up to 250 guests. Outside terrace space is also available. With a dynamic urban vibe as the place to meet, mingle and watch the scene, Rumpus Room comes alive as the sun goes down, featuring DJs and live entertainment.
